Edu2Elevate was founded on a simple but powerful belief:

• Everyone deserves a fair chance at success—regardless of their background, circumstances, or zip code.

Our mission is to educate, equip, and elevate underserved students, unemployed individuals, and marginalized communities by providing access to meaningful education, digital skills, and career development opportunities. We focus on AI literacy, data skills, workforce readiness, and certification-based learning to prepare individuals for today’s rapidly changing job market.

Our Story: From Empathy to Action

In 2008, after completing her bachelor’s degree, our founder, Dr. Marcia Hawk, began an MBA program. But something didn’t feel right. She wasn’t drawn to business strategy—she was drawn to people. Driven by a passion to teach and uplift others, she switched paths and enrolled in a Master’s program in Adult and Higher Education.

During this journey, two books left a lifelong impact:

📘 Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire revealed how education can serve as a tool for liberation, especially for marginalized populations.
📕 A textbook on the immigrant experience in Canada told the heartbreaking stories of highly educated professionals—doctors, scientists, and engineers—who, due to language barriers, were forced to work as janitors and cleaners.

Those stories lit a fire in her. She made a personal vow:
To help those who are overlooked and under-supported gain the skills and opportunities needed to succeed.

That vision is now Edu2Elevate—a nonprofit built with compassion, backed by experience, and powered by a desire to create real change.
